A card access control system is an electronic security system used in places where entry and exit security is important. It controls people’s access to certain areas and tracks their movements. Card access systems are also known as access control systems in the market. By using card access systems, we can grant permission to desired individuals for access to certain rooms and prevent unauthorized access. In places where security is a top priority, it is not appropriate for everyone to have access to every point, so card access applications are used to limit access and ensure that everyone stays within authorized areas.

Today, card access system applications have been implemented in almost every location, ranging from office buildings, factories, and public institutions to residential areas. Turnstile systems at the entrances of office buildings, barriers in parking lots, and other systems such as bollard barriers can be integrated with card access systems. Card access systems also support the implementation of many security and control scenarios in buildings by integrating with CCTV systems, fire detection systems, and building automation systems.

We can also divide today’s access control systems into two main categories. The first one is computer-controlled systems. These systems are complex access control systems that can range from 5-10 card readers to hundreds of card readers. At the center of this system is a PC and access control software, and in the field, there are access control panels and a system consisting of card readers. The second type of access control system is the standalone system, which is a simple system consisting of a single card reader and is mostly used for entry into homes, sites, and apartment buildings.

Today, there are also systems that use human biological identification instead of a card for access control. These systems are called biometric access control systems. Biometric systems consist of different types of reader devices that read fingerprints, facial recognition, retina recognition, vein recognition, etc. In this system, the reader in the access control system is replaced by the relevant biometric identification system. These systems are preferred and used in high-security areas because they prevent situations such as lost, forgotten, stolen, or unauthorized use of cards.

Today, access control systems are not only used for tracking entry and exit. Similar systems are used in personnel attendance control systems to track employee attendance for the preparation of monthly payrolls, in cafeteria tracking systems to track food consumption and calculate charges for employees, in gym entry and exit tracking systems, and in many other areas where the foundation is based on access control systems.

Applications of Card Access Control System

Applications of Card Access Control System

A access control system is a security system where entry and exit procedures for a building or area are controlled using identification cards for authentication purposes. These systems help authorized individuals to enter a specific area and prevent others from entering. Card access systems are commonly used in office buildings, hospitals, schools, government institutions, hotels, and factories. These systems provide many benefits, such as increasing security, controlling access, and facilitating personnel tracking.

Card access systems are a security technology used to restrict access to building entrances or specific areas. These systems work by using a previously registered card, key fob, or similar object to control access to a specific area. These cards are authenticated by placing them on or near a reader device, and if the card is valid, the system opens specific doors or areas. Card access systems are commonly used in office buildings, hospitals, schools, airports, hotels, and many other commercial or industrial businesses.

Access control systems are a technology used for security purposes and are typically used at building entrances. These systems only allow authorized individuals to enter a specific area. Card access systems can operate using different technologies such as RFID (radio frequency identification), magnetic stripe, barcode, or biometric data.

For example, an RFID card reader scans the card and opens only the doors that are authorized for the user. Additionally, software in the system manages the permissions assigned to each card by the user and records entry and exit times to facilitate tracking of individuals present in the area.

Card access systems are used in many different areas, such as offices, hospitals, schools, hotels, and industrial facilities, and increase the level of security while allowing personnel tracking through entry and exit records.
